Who am I in social media?
I started to join this cyber world when I was 11 and at that moment we all know that Friendster was leading in global. No instagram, no Twitter. Then I've been introduced with MySpace where we can see most people were totally obsessed to revolve into freak, with big eyes and fake eyelashes and whatsoever. Photoshop was a trend.
And, when I was 12, I started to blog. So what do you expect from 12-year-old girl's writing besides of writing her own journal? Nothing much, I started to write in the form of diaries. But now, this same writer wants to perceive her audience by writing something that is conventional. Writing has no trend, I write based on what I want to write. Whether it is subtle or not, I believe my writing has its own voice, in which at the same time reveals the message that I want to convey.
Trend is stereotype. I might have conflict personality in characters, but not in writing. So people, each of us has different approach to present themselves. It is unfair if we judge people based on specific things, without taking other things into account. Most people think I am intrusive in real life, but not in writing. So who I really am in social media?
I am not a well-known blogger. I am not a writer with countless followers. It is just that sometimes I appreciate audience that appreciate my writing. To feel appreciated is a blessed. And now I know that sometimes through my writing I can induce positivity in one's life. By integrating words based on thoughts, and synthesize what I have learned throughout my journey really support my platform in my writing.
Basically, human has different approach to present themselves. Impressions are powerful don't you think?
