Kalau dulu aku yang sibuk nak cari 'temuduga MARA' or 'temuduga JPA' tapi alhamdulillah at last aku sendiri dapat rasa pengalaman 'interview' semalam di MRSM Mersing
Aku apply MARA-JPA. Apa itu MARA-JPA? MARA-JPA adalah scholarship JPA yang lebih MORE INTO Bumiputra. Okay. Faham sudah?
So semalam aku sempat mandi, siap-siap pakai Mascara, pakai eyeliner kononnya dah cun lah nak pergi interview HAHAHA padahal still nampak macam bare face ---,---- So Alang dengan mama yang sent me there. Go there with Fazeera :)
Sarapan mi putih dengan horlicks suam. Then you know what aku sangat sangat mabuk kereta after that. Ye la jalan ke Mersing kan tak tegak. Bengkang bengkok. Tu yang aku gila bapak pening dah terpaksa beli panadol and minyak kapak sekejap HARHARHAR. Aku tak rasa cuak or nervous lagi. Sebab aku tak letak high expectation so yeahhhh
So, bila dah sampai sana memang agak sesat jugak lah. Ye la, ada yang untuk scholarship MARA and ada yang untuk scholarship JPA. So lain lain dewan. Untuk MARA mereka kena jawab IQ test semua dulu. Yang JPA terus interview. Interview sebelum ni aku cari kat internet mereka akan kata maybe dalam 30 minit or paling lama 45minit. But you know what? Aku punya 3 JAM. YES 3 HOURS INTERVIEW!
So, pukul 2 sampai pukul 5 lah nampaknya interviewnya. So aku adalah kelompok 1, angka giliran 1 and group 1. So aku beratur yang paling hadapan sekali. Group aku 3 perempuan dan 2 lelaki. Mereka semua dari SBP and aku sorang yang dari sekolah harian. Mereka dah ada pengalaman interview and aku pula memang first time. FYI, I am not used to speak in English. I mean not very fluent even though I can write in English. But it is not a big deal for me because no matter what I have to try :) So sesiapa yang rasa korang dari sekolah harian and not good in talking English, don't worry. Just use 'broken English'. Tak ada orang akan marah. Yang penting CONFIDENT!
So first sekali adalah discussion dalam BM. Group aku dapat "Langkah-langkah Mengatasi Kesesakan Jalan Raya". Dah bincang semua then we present in BM. Ye lah dah nama pun in Malay kan. Aku masukkan "laman sosial" dalam langkah-langkah tu. Then after habis semua mereka akan tanya balik "Kalau awak tengok kos kereta sekarang makin murah. Macam mana pula boleh kurangkan kesesakan pula? Bukan makin ramai ke yang nak beli kereta sebab kereta makin murah?". Yang tu soalan open. Means sesiapa boleh jawab. Tapi aku tak jawab sebab mereka dah jawab. Then dia bagi soalan lagi "sekarang ramai rasanya perempuan yang takut nak naik kenderaan awam macam yang terjadi di India baru-baru ni. Macam mana pula kes yang tu?" yang tu aku jawab
Then second pula discussion dalam English "how to make young people feel belonging to this country?" yang itu based on picture so we've to discuss all that in English only. But before that we've to introduce ourselves and I am the first person to introduce myself and yes the interviewers seemed impress or I hope they did. So yes after discussion like usual we've to present. And I don't know what to talk about because that question is so general. But yeah alhamdulillah there are a few idea that popped to my mind while I am talking. I mean it is all spontaneous because before the presentation started I just don't know what to talk about so yes Allah was helping me. Alhamdulillah.
When I said that "I really want to contribute to Bumiputra. Palm Oil, it is something that we can use to produce soap, shampoo so my opinion is this can increase or at least help the investment for our local cosmetic company....bla bla bla" so interview asked me again "why you only want to contribute to Bumputra? Why not other races?" and I answered "because I am a Bumiputra. I've observed that all or most Bumiputra don't know that they actually have the potential to develop or contribute something to this world. We want to rely on US or any other country outside until when? We've something to be proud of. Something that we can do to make our own industry to the international level". And yes the interviewers smiled and jotted something. Oh yes, one member from my group mentioned about FELDA and the interviewer asked him "do you know the full name for FELDA?" so if you want to give out your idea make sure don't mention something that you aren't really sure or you'll screw
Then after that individual interviews. So yes I was the first to introduce myself. So the first question was in Malay so I answered it in Malay. So yes after that he asked in English why should a government send or wasting their money for people that want to pursue their study in oversea. So I raised my hand and I answered that question. But then he asked me again "is that study in local you don't have something to learn?" then I answered "alright. We just learn the same thing if we study in local or abroad. But but but when we study in oversea, we still can learn something that we never can't learn in Malaysia. We learn on how to seek for help, we meet differ kind of people, we learn how to do all things on our own. So all these actually can increase or develop our communication skill which is required when we want to find a job bla bla bla". Then in Malay question "kenapa Malaysia masih kekurangan doktor dan akauntan? Padahal yang ambil medic masa belajar sangat ramai?" then I answered that too in Malay
So after that session before we leave they asked "do you have any question for us?" I've read an article from one of the blogger. We shouldn't ask them question about MARA or what. We have to ask them and tell us what we have. I asked them "I have an experience working with my mum for 2 years..." or something like that. So yeah then the interview ended and we were so relief! So after that my mum and Alang bawa Fazeera and I pergi makan. So yeah very great experience!
